Wanderlust. It’s back. I want out. I want to see some world. I want to understand some new cultures. It’s time to get out of the comfort zone for a little bit and do some scary stuff. Where? Well, let’s see where the wallet can take me this time.
One thing that I missed when I was traveling last time was work. Work intrinsically and extrinsically provides meaning for you. I want to work. Don’t get me wrong here, I don’t want any old remote english teaching job or to work for something I don’t believe in. I want some work that can hopefully advance my career and challenge me. In order to make this work, I’m really going to have to push for it instead of half-ass it like I somewhat do in the states.
Planning out trips is also funny to me. It’s like you plan to have something to do, but if you don’t accomplish said plan the trip is a failure. My approach is to have absolutely no plan and see where it takes me. This way I am completely up for experience and I am actually seeking it out. If I’m not seeking it out, that’s no bueno.
Man is so far from what we used to be in the not so distant past. We are designed for grand adventure and being in nature. Now a grand adventure is hop in a metal box and let it take you where you need to go. Adventure may have changed what it looks like, but ey.. it’s still fun and dandy.
