June 24, 2019

This will be the first of maybe many or maybe I’ll get over it, life updates on here.

As of writing, I am sitting in my hotel in Lemoore, CA. Tis’ the night before I get to surf Kelly’s wave and I can’t freakin wait.

So what am I up to now? Well, I just moved out of the Newport beach house that I was in from Sept 18’ - June 6, 2019 and instead of securing a place to live in OC, I decided to kick it in the back of my truck and on friends couches as I try to figure out what is next in my life. I’m stoked cause as of today - July 6th I will have a bed to sleep on in Alabama, New Orleans, then Mexico. After that… don’t know, but I’m really diggin the freedom, but definitely not diggin the I just woke up in the back of my truck and I NEED a bathroom feeling. So we’ll see what happens.

This month is the beginning of what I’ve been calling “fridge season” for the last few years of my life. Fridge season consists of me getting together a bunch of friends and friends of friends to install or pick up fridges from college campuses. I go around in circles about what I think about the fridge grind. On one hand, it’s such a blessing because it pays decent and I can provide some guys who need work some work! On the other, I think to myself, “Am I really supposed to be fridging my life away?” As I continue to go back and forth, I made “the fridge grind” more legit by going corporate and creating this —> (a work in progress) https://www.theworkerscompany.com/ . We’ll see if anything comes out of it. I’m kinda trying to make manual labor cool again in some fashion.

Also for some work, I just got brought on as a brand ambassador for Golden Road Brewing. They are launching a new beer called K-38, named after a surf spot in Baja. I’m stoked because they are a great company to work with and I wouldn’t be at the wave ranch if it wasn’t for them. Funny story of how I got hooked up with Golden Road. I was an extra in a commercial getting paid $15 an hour to mess around. Definitely lost money with my driving to LA and back twice for it, but it was definitely worth the time because I was able to meet some of the marketing execs. Total Luck!

Alright, I’m over writing. We’ll see ya in a week, a day, a month, or never again!
